| Giant Armadillo - The giant armadillo, native to South America, is the largest of the armadillos with a weight of over 120. This species is nocturnal, foraging for food at night. The giant armadillo is an insectivore, a specialized carnivore, eating mainly insects and other small invertebrates. When this species is threatened, they will use their large claws for defense or to dig an escape. |
