| Tamandua - The tamandua, also known as the collared anteater, is native to Central and South America. The tamandua is a member of the order Xenarthra, which also includes sloth and armadillos. Tamandua are carnivores specialized in eating insects. The tamandua uses its long front claws for digging through ant and termite mounds, then laps its prey with its sticky tongue.
