| Cuvier's Beaked Whale - The Cuvier's beaked whale are found in nearly all the worlds oceans. Males of this species possess two teeth that protrude from the lower jaw. These are sometimes used in sparing with other males and often leave characteric scars all along their opponents body. Females also possess these teeth but they rarely errupt beyond the gum line. Cuvier's beaked whales travel in pods numbering 10 to 15 individuals but males are occationally solitary. This species feeds on various crutaceans, mollusks, squid and pelagic fish.
