| Dwarf Caiman - The dwarf caiman, also known as Cuvier’s dwarf caiman, is common throughout much of the Amazon and Orinoco River systems. This species is one of the smallest of the crocodilians reaching a maximum length of only 5 feet (1.5 M). This nocturnal predator feeds on a variety of aquatic invertebrates, such as crustaceans and mollusks, as well as small mammals and fish.
