The Museum of Osteology has received an African elephant skeleton from Botswana. This large male specimen was donated to the museum and will be on display, complete with ivory tusks, as the centerpiece of the ground floor. This huge skeleton will be one of several large skeletons to be displayed in the museum and will take its place along side a fully articulated giraffe, white rhino, hippo, eland antelope and humpback whale.
