| Genet Skull - The common name genet can be applied to several species of viverrids ranging from southern Europe and Asia through southern Africa. Genets, strict carnivores, inhabit forests, grasslands and savannahs. Most species of genet will feed on insects, rodents, birds and reptiles. The genets characteristically spotted pelage and long slender body, make them easily identifiable when witnessed in the field. |
