| Giant Flying Squirrel - There are eight species of giant flying squirrel native to forested regions of the Middle East Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite their name, giant flying squirrels do not truly fly. Instead, they use a flap of skin, connected between their ankle and wrist, to glide from tree to tree. Giant flying squirrels are arboreal and nocturnal. Giant flying squirrels feed on various plant parts such as fruits, seeds, nuts, pinecones and saplings. |
