| Helmeted Hornbill Skull - The Helmeted Hornbill was once heavily hunted for its “horn” which was carved for religious ceremonies. The status of this species is now considered endangered and is protected in all of its range. The female hornbill will use mud to seal herself in a hallowed tree during nesting, allowing only a small opening where her mate can bring her food. |
