| Mallard Duck Feet - Ducks have many adaptations for their aquatic lifestyle. Most notably of these are their webbed feet. When paddling or swimming, this webbing allows for easier movement and uses less energy than species without webbing. As a duck swims, it will push its open foot back in a powerful kick. The webbing catches the water creating a pushing movement. For the return stroke, the foot closes, causing the webbing to retract and minimize forward resistance. Both open and closed casts are available to illustrate this incredible evolutionary adaptation. Available in both swimming position and Standing Postion.
