The Brown-headed Cowbird, is a small finch like bird found in the temperate to subtropical North America. A promiscuous and a brood parasite, eggs are laid in the nests of other bird species and the young reared by these hosts, sometimes at the expense of the host's young. Brown-headed Cowbird females can lay 36 eggs in a season, 144 different species of bird have been know to have raised young cowbirds.
