| Red Hartebeest Skull - The red hartebeest, Alcelaphus buselaphus, includes several subspecies such as the Coke's, Cape, Jackson's, and Swayne's hartebeests. Each of these subspecies bears characteristically distinctive horns that both males and females possess. This large bovid is native to central and southern regions of Africa. Hartebeest are gregarious grazers, often feeding in herds numbering from 10 to 70 individuals.
