| Side-striped Jackal Skull - The side-striped jackal inhabits the forests of eastern and central Africa. Although occupying much of the same niche as its relative, the black-backed jackal, this species prefers a less arid range. Side-striped jackals are nocturnal and omnivorous feeding on Insects, fruit, small vertebrates, and carrion. |
