Yellow Mongoose - The yellow mongoose is common throughout most of southern Africa. This species is an avid burrower, constructing elaborate tunnels where it gregariously dwells. This diurnal species is primarily insectivorous, but will also feed on small vertebrates, carrion and plant material. |
