The yellow mud turtle is a small species of turtle found in parts of Central America. As the name suggests, these turtles are characterized by their yellowish or olive-brown coloring, although their exact coloration can vary between individuals. Yellow mud turtles are well-adapted to a semi-aquatic lifestyle. They are typically found in slow-moving or stagnant bodies of water, such as ponds, marshes, and swamps, where they forage for aquatic plants, small invertebrates, and aquatic insects.
