The betta fish or the other name, the Siamese fighting fish. This fish is popular in the aquarium trade. They get the name fighting fish because of the aggressive nature of their territory. They are native to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam found in canals, rice paddies or floodplains. Betta fish are known for their vibrant colors and paters there are about 35 different colors and combinations the fish could be. They also have very distinct fin shapes, around 14 different shapes.
