Geoffroy's marmosets are small primates native to the rainforests of South America. They are known for their social behavior and often live in groups with complex social hierarchies. Also known for their exploratory behavior, they have been observed using tools in the wild, such as using sticks to extract insects from tree branches. Like all primates, these marmosets have opposable thumbs which allow them to grasp objects with greater precision and manipulate them more easily. This adaptation is especially important for their diet, as it allows them to extract insects and other small prey from narrow crevices in tree branches.
