Geoffroy's Rousette Bat is one of over 180 species of megabats or Old World fruit bats. They are found in tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, roosting in large numbers in dark caves, rock crevices, and even old tombs. These medium-sized bats feed at night on fruit, nectar, and pollen. Their teeth are shaped to bite through fruit skin and crush the soft fruit matter within.
