Details
The hartebeest or also known at the kongoni is an antelope that lives in Africa. Eight subspecies live in different parts of Africa. Both males and females have horns which can range from 18 to 28 inches. They are herd animals, with herds ranging from 20 to 300 hartebeests. Inhabiting grasslands and the dry savanna, they move to places after the rainfall. The average lifespan can range from 12 to 15 years grazing on grass in all parts of Africa.
