Real Marbled Duck Skull
The marbled duck - or marbled teal - is a small waterfowl that is found in the wetlands of the Middle East and parts of Europe. It is a species of dabbling duck, and is easily identified by its distinctive plumage. The male has a lighter head and neck, with a dark brown back, black breast and white barring on its flanks. The female has a more mottled brown plumage, with a lighter head and neck. The marbled duck is a shy species and prefers to remain hidden in reed beds and other dense vegetation. It feeds mainly on aquatic plants and invertebrates, and is typically found in small flocks. The marbled duck is a threatened species, with a decreasing population due to habitat loss and hunting. Conservation efforts are underway to protect this beautiful species and its wetland habitats.
