The Slender Mongoose (Galerella sanguinea) is commonly found in the savannah and semiarid regions of sub-Saharan Africa. As its name suggests, it is small in stature with a long, slender build. This mongoose is primarily carnivorous, but it is an opportunistic omnivore. Its diet is composed mostly of insects, reptiles, rodents, birds, amphibians, carrion, eggs, and occasionally fruit.
