The Taylor's cantil is a venomous snake found in northeastern Mexico. Named after American herpetologist Edward Harrison Taylor, these average-sized vipers can reach lengths of up to 38 inches. Taylor's cantils use their fangs, venom and a swift strike to capture and kill their prey. Their diet typically consists of small mammals, amphibians, birds, and lizards.
