The white-thighed hornbill is a large bird species native to the rainforests of Central Africa. It is recognized by its predominantly black plumage, white belly, and distinctive white thighs. These hornbills have a large casque on top of their bills and are known for their loud, trumpeting calls. White-thighed Hornbills are frugivores, feeding on a diet of fruits, but they also consume insects and small animals. They contribute to forest ecology by aiding in seed dispersal and play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of their tropical habitats.
