The savannah monitor is a robust lizard native to sub-Saharan Africa, typically found in savannas and arid grasslands. It has a thick body, powerful limbs, a broad head, and a strong tail, with a generally gray or tan coloration and lighter spotting or banding. These monitors are carnivorous, feeding on insects, small mammals, eggs, and other reptiles. 

• This specimen was formerly used as a display in our museum. Upon purchase, it will undergo refurbishment, which may take up to two months to complete based on the current workload of our processing team.
