The common duiker (or grey duiker) is a small antelope found throughout Africa. They have a reddish-brown coat, with a white underside, and males have short horns while females lack horns. Common duikers are browsers, feeding on a variety of plants, fruits, leaves, shoots, buds and flowers. They are mainly solitary animals, but can form small groups during the mating season. Common duikers are very shy and wary of predators, often fleeing when disturbed. They are also excellent climbers and can often be seen on rocky outcrops or in the branches of trees.
