The Gulper Shark (Centrophorus granulosus) is a small, deep-sea shark found primarily along continental slopes in temperate and tropical waters. Reaching approximately 5 feet in length, it has a slender body, large greenish eyes, and a short, broad snout adapted to life in the deep ocean. Like other gulper sharks, it possesses large, blade-like teeth and prominent dorsal spines. Its dark gray to brown coloration provides camouflage in the low-light environments it inhabits, where it feeds primarily on fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans.
