The smalltooth sand tiger is a species of shark belonging to the family Odontaspididae. It inhabits deep waters in tropical and temperate oceans worldwide. Recognizable by its slender body, pointed snout, and numerous small teeth, it is an apex predator feeding on a variety of fish and cephalopods. Despite its fearsome appearance, it is not known to pose a significant threat to humans due to its deep-sea habitat and relatively docile behavior.
