Excellent Replica & Intriguing Adaptation
The narrow skull and skeletal form of the black footed ferret is suggestive of a mammal on a convergent evolutionary pathway to a snake-like predator. How sad that the devastated populations of the wild ferret and its prey, the prairie dog, are dismally out of equilibrium. I wonder if this animal was the keystone predator for its underground prairie environment?
