The white-tailed deer is the most widespread artiodactyl found in North America. White-tailed deer have good eyesight and acute hearing, but depend mainly on their sense of smell to detect danger. Males of this species possess antlers that are shed from January to March and grow out again in April or May. Antlers are extensions of an animal's skull, made from true bone.
Economy replica skulls are designed to be more affordable while still serving as effective educational tools. They may lack some of the finer detailing found in regular skulls, such as open neural passages, and are made entirely from a single material—including the teeth—whereas Bone Clones' standard skulls use a different material for the teeth to better mimic the look and feel of real ones.
