The antelope jackrabbit is found in southern Arizona and northwestern Mexico. It is most active during twilight and night but can be active during the day if conditions are favorable. They feed on cactus and other vegetation. This species is named after the antelope because they are both similarly athletic; these jackrabbits can jump up to ten feet in the air and run up to 40 miles per hour.
