Real Cape Fox Skull
The Cape fox, also known as the South African silver fox, is a small wild canid found in southern Africa. It is a light grey or tan color with a black stripe along its back and a white-tipped tail. This fox is quite small, ranging from 45 to 55 cm in length with a tail length of approximately 30 cm. Its ears are pointy, and its eyes are large and black. It has a slender body and long legs. The Cape fox is solitary by nature, but it can be seen in pairs or small family groups during the breeding season. This fox is mostly nocturnal, but can sometimes be seen hunting in the morning or in the evening. It feeds on small animals such as rodents, lizards, and insects, as well as plant material. The Cape fox is a relatively rare species, but its numbers are stable and it is not considered to be endangered.
