Real Hartebeest Skull
The hartebeest is a large African antelope with a distinctive long, narrow head, long legs, and a sloping back. It has a reddish-brown coat with white markings on the face, neck, and legs. The Hartebeest is a very fast runner and can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour. It is a grazer and feeds mainly on grasses and shrubs. The hartebeest is found in open grasslands, woodlands, and savannas throughout much of sub-Saharan Africa. It is an important prey species for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas.
